Overcoming Injury

Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Care

Tailored osteopathic care for every chapter of your health journey

Your body is a master of compensation—until it isn’t.

Pain is the signal that your tissues have reached their limit
and your body needs support.

At Arise Osteopathy, we’re passionate about diagnosing and treating the movement pattern imbalances that lead to pain. Whether they stem from an acute sporting accident, a workplace strain, or the gradual wear and tear of daily life, we’re here to help.

Common Conditions & Presentations

Our practitioners work with a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal complaints.

  • Spinal & Nerve Health: Addressing acute back and neck discomfort (wry neck, joint stiffness) and nerve irritation like sciatica.
  • Postural Tension: Relieving aches from prolonged desk work or repetitive habits.
  • Sports & Limb Injuries: Recovery for rotator cuff issues, shoulder impingement, bursitis and ankle sprains.
  • Hip & Knee Dysfunction: Managing symptoms related to runner’s knee (Patellofemoral pain), ITB syndrome, and osteoarthritis.
  • Overuse Injuries: Supporting persistent aches such as tennis/golfer’s elbow and carpal tunnel.
  • Foot & Heel Pain: Targeted care for plantar fasciitis, bunions and Achilles tendinopathy.

Your Roadmap to Recovery

In the Osteopathic tradition, we believe that structure and function are interrelated. If your body’s framework is restricted, the tissues may struggle to heal efficiently. Our goal is to support each body to find dynamic balance and stability.

Phase 1: Structural Decompression & Offloading

Immediately following an injury, the priority is breaking the cycle of “protective guarding” and inflammation. We use manual therapy—including soft tissue techniques and gentle mobilisation—to “offload” the injured area and jump start the natural healing process.

Phase 2: Restoring the Kinetic Chain

As pain subsides, we look for the why behind the injury, by assessing your mechanical “domino effect”. We address the compensation patterns throughout your body (such as releasing a stiff mid-back to resolve a shoulder impingement), supporting fluid movement and joint mobility.

Phase 3: Functional Resilience & Movement Prescription

True recovery means your body can handle the “load” of your daily life or sport without re-injury. To support this, we provide a bespoke rehab plan via Physitrack. This includes exclusive access to our signature FAMO library—videos personally filmed by our team to ensure your home rehab perfectly mirrors your clinical treatment.
