Paediatric Care
Tailored osteopathic care for every chapter of your health journey
Growing Strong
Osteopathic care for every stage
From the first days of life through the active years of adolescence, a child’s body undergoes remarkable changes. We provide gentle, evidence-informed osteopathic care to support your child’s comfort, movement, and physical development at every age.
Babies and Infants
The transition into the world involves unique physical stressors. Common reasons parents consult us include:
- Birth Support: Addressing musculoskeletal tension that may arise following a difficult or assisted birth.
- Head & Neck Comfort: Assisting with head-turn preferences, torticollis (stiff neck), and the management of plagiocephaly (flat head spots).
- Feeding Support: Addressing jaw or neck tension impacting lactation, including care pre- and post-frenectomy (tongue tie).
- Digestive Comfort: Supporting infants with reflux, wind or constipation by addressing associated musculoskeletal tension.
- Middle Ear Support: Assisting with neck and jaw tension to support drainage in cases of recurrent ear infections (Otitis Media).
Support for Growing Children and Teens
As children become more active, their physical needs evolve. We provide assessment and management for:
- Play & Sports Injuries: Care for sprains, strains, and common “growing pains.”
- Motor Development & Coordination: Supporting healthy movement patterns during rapid growth spurts, physical milestones and the repetitive demands of adolescent sport.
- Spinal Health & Alignment: Addressing the musculoskeletal impact of heavy school bags and prolonged screen time, alongside proactive scoliosis monitoring.
- Orthodontic Support: Assisting with jaw and neck comfort for children undergoing orthodontic treatment, such as palate expansion or braces. (*see Nicola)

Your Child’s Safety and Comfort
A Gentle Approach
Paediatric osteopathy is not just “adult treatment on a small person.” We use highly modified, gentle techniques. Our treatment rooms are designed to be child-friendly, ensuring a relaxed environment where we move at your child’s pace.
What to Expect
We begin with a thorough review of your child’s health and birth history to establish tailored goals. Your care plan may include a combination of health education, age-appropriate exercises, and gentle manual therapy.
Collaborative Care
We believe in a team approach. We work alongside GPs, Midwives and other Allied Health. If your child presents with a concern that requires medical investigation (such as fever or acute illness), we will refer you to your primary medical practitioner. Our focus is always on providing a safe, gentle, and respectful environment where your family feels heard and supported.
