B.App. Sci. (Comp. Med), M. Ost

Osteopath & Clinic Owner

Nicola is a fully qualified osteopath registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She attended the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complimentary Medicine) in 2009 and a Masters of Osteopathy in 2011. She is a member of Osteopathy Australia.

Nicola opened Arise Osteopathy in Margaret River in January 2019. In April 2022, she embraced the opportunity to open Arise Health, a communal space for like minded practitioners to work collectively.

Nicola is drawn to osteopathy by its holistic philosophy and gentle hands on approach. She values the large range of techniques available to osteopaths that enable her to care for clients of all ages and treat a wide variety of conditions.

‘I particularly love working with clients over a longer term, to truly unravel their mechanical puzzle, and restore long lasting balance and optimise function.’

Nicola has a passion for caring for and empowering the ‘whole person’ by providing integrated health care with other medical and allied health practitioners. Nicola believes that good health is a daily practice for which each individual is responsible. As a health practitioner, her role is to guide, facilitate and educate, ultimately empowering clients towards greater health. Her approach to healthcare strives to be holistic and takes into consideration all factors that affect health.

Nicola will be on leave throughout June 2022.

Her former colleagues Chris Tucker & Kate Burke from Melbourne, will be covering the practice while she is away. You can read their bios below and online bookings will be available.

Chris Tucker

My name is Chris Tucker and I am thrilled to be a part of the Arise Osteopathy team.  I am a highly experienced Osteopath , with over 15 years experience in the industry, having worked at several well respected clinics around Melbourne.  I adopt a live once, live well attitude, and encourage people to live the life they want to.

Human Anatomy and Physiology has always been a passion of mine, it’s who we are and it’s how we function.  I lead a very active lifestyle, thus I understand the importance of health maintenance and the frustrations that can arise during times of injury.  Holding a double degree in Clinical Science/Osteopathic Science combined with over 15 years working as an Osteopath, I have dealt with a multitude of conditions.  I enjoy a challenge and my point of focus is always helping someone achieve optimal health.

I am a confident, safe, and thorough practitioner who feels very proud to work with what is someones greatest asset, their health.  I absolutely love being an Osteopath and take pride in making my clients feel cared for, knowing that I have the experience and dedication necessary to get the best out of them.  I treat every appointment with the respect it deserves, but I also enjoy working with people and building a rapport with those who come to see me.

I am a fun loving person who is always up for an adventure!  If it involves the outdoors, I’m into it!  I love to run, swim, hike, camp, chill at the beach, and most importantly have fun with my friends.  All these things involve good health, which is why I’m such a strong advocate of healthy living.
If you need some help getting your health back on track or want to get proactive about getting the most out of yourself, come and say hi and we can discuss how I may be able to help you.
